Oliver Twist

During my internship at Studio MAD I worked on the setting for "Oliver Twist"; a world famous story about a poor boy who grew up in harsh conditions (in this story: Enschede) around the year 1900. For this decor we had to recreate the streets of Enschede in 3D as it looked in the early 20th century. The decor consisted of several layers of projection screens on which the background was projected by means of projection mapping. The great thing about this technique is that you can create an animated background that brings the decor to life! For this project I was responsible for creating the street in different weather conditions. There was a scene in winter, summer, night and in the rain. This was also the first project where I learned a lot about texture maps (normal map / displacement / roughness / etc.)
